ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION

Arbitration:
Reed McClure attorney, William R. Hickman, has conducted more than 40 arbitrations. In his 40 years as an appellate attorney he represented clients in appeals which involved legal questions of employment contracts; employment discrimination; pension rights; ERISA; contractor/insurance disputes; Indian sovereignty; security fraud; insurance fraud; Admiralty; toxic substances; auto manufacturer's liability; lawyer malpractice; health care malpractice; environmental; product liability; hospital liability; municipal liability; liquor liability; drug liability; defamation; arson; construction liens; construction indemnity; UCC; construction; insurance coverage, and insurance bad faith. For over 35 years, he counseled clients on the several versions of the Comprehensive General Liability policy, as well as reinsurance, aviation policies, E&O policies, D&O policies, inter-insurer disputes, and personal lines policies.
Mr. Hickman is a member of the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association, and is a public arbitrator on the FINRA panel.

Mediation:
Reed McClure attorney, Anamaria Gil’s mediation practice focuses on resolving personal injury lawsuits, including those involving Spanish-speaking parties. As a trial lawyer for nearly 20 years, Ms. Gil brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and understanding to the table in order to help litigants resolve disputes in a manner which promotes closure and dignity. Whether you are an attorney representing a plaintiff or defendant, or an insurance representative, Ms. Gil offers innovative dispute resolution strategies, particularly where language or cultural differences have created additional barriers to settlement.
Ms. Gil’s specialty area is personal injury litigation, including premises liability, products liability, false arrest, false imprisonment and motor vehicle accident cases. Many of Ms. Gil’s cases have involved serious personal injuries, including traumatic brain injury. Ms. Gil also has experience and background in lawsuits involving discrimination, and insurance-related disputes.
Ms. Gil is a Board Officer and Secretary for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Washington State Bar Association, and received her mediation training at the prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law.
Ms. Gil is available to conduct mediations in Seattle, and also, throughout the Pacific Northwest, at your facilities or at a mutually agreeable location.
